As a budget hotel the Shellbourne hotel passed. Positives - central to many things, and transport, rooms clean and newly decorated. Negatives - room tiny and not the finished product, ie good tv reception, towel rails etc, reception not that helpful or didn't know so much information, would not keep cases in hold after checkout, breakfast very basic.

Very nice staff at Shellbourne, clean, and extremely good location! The room was not amazing, but for that price - I realy can´t complain. And did i already mention the nice staff?

Nice place to stay, very helpful and friendly staff. Good value for money, clean and safe, great location, close to two tube stations and a two big supermarkets. Would definitely book a stay there again! :)

Shellbourne was very basic but very clean and white bedlinen and towels beds were very comfortable. Me and my daughter would stay again as it was very near Earls Court tube station. We only stayed one night but found that the breakfast was enough for what we wanted. Lots of work being done so who knows what it will be like in future.

Stayed for 2 nights in march 2007. Fantastic location! Currently being refurbished and once finished will be great!! Only next time i hope there are tea and coffee facilities in the rooms. Will be booking the Shellbourne again on my next london visit.

I only spent one night at the Shellbourne hotel, while waiting to fly home. There are only shared coffee and tea and it is instant coffee, yuck!!! They were doing work to fix up the rooms, and they need to fix up the walls too. On a positive note, the area is very nice and close to the tube and pubs. My bed was not very comfortable.

Cheapest Hotel of London, surely ! Staff : just polite. Room : proper sheet and bathroom, but general state of the room was low: Window couldn’t stay open, one of the bed's light (2W) were broken. At the moment there is a general renovation of the hotel, so one can expect maybe something better in the future. Breakfast very basic (cornflakes, toast, cheese, tea and soluble coffee).

You get what you pay for at Shellbourne. Self catering facilities were limited but nice. Basically a fridge, a microwave, some toasters and kettles. PROS: Price, close to underground (Zone1), close to supermarket (Sainsburys around the corner), fairly clean, nice staff. Did I mention the price? Very cheap on TravelStay CONS: kinda run down, walls are paper-thin, private washrooms are basically a shower with a toilet and sink in it. TIP: Get a room on the first floor, they just got renovated in Oct 2006!

Spent 6 nights here at Shellbourne in October 2006. I was pleased with the room, although it was very basic. Nice, quiet place. Some of the staff members were friendly, some were not. The elevator didn't work all the time, so I had to walk to the upmost floor some times. Breakfast was a good continental breakfast with toast, corn flakes, juice and coffee/tea. Good location near Earl's Court and Gloucester Road tube stations. A Sainsburys store is also very close. All in all, a good hotel for the price. Recommended.

Been at Shellbourne Hotel since 14 August. It's really nice place in a perfect place where u can get piccadilly circus in 20 mins by tube. Room is small but if you go to London i don't think you go to sleep.... Ppl there is really kind and they always smile at you, even if you wake the reception at 5 in the morning to get to your room ... Sorry!. You have Bus stop in front of the Hotel 74 or N97 and you get to tube station in only 100 meters! will book the shellbourne hotel again on travelstay for my next trip to London.

My overnight stay at Shellbourne Hotel hotel wasn't too bad at all. The walls and windows were a bit thin but other than that it's very good value for a budget hotel. Would book it with TravelStay again.

The Shellbourne hotel is a bit run down but the rooms are clean and fine bathroom facilities, television wasn't working though. Very friendly staff. The hotel was in the process of a fix-up at time of stay. I would stay at Shellbourne hotel again.

It was situated in a good quite place with easy access to all important sites in London. The hotel in general is a bit run down, but the room and bathroom were clean. The staff were very helpful and polite.

Shellbourne hotel is an old hotel and my room was very basic but it was also cheap and with a private bathroom.

Pleasant staff, clean rooms. In need of decoration but does the job well. Would stay again.
